It is typical for any memory foam product to have a slight odor when removing it from packaging, we recommend allowing the item to sit in a cool, dry area out of all packaging and plastic for at least 48 hours before use to release any trapped odors. There are other factors that may cause a slight smell, such as condensation building up depending on how long it was in transit or if you live in a warmer area the foam could have had a reaction to the heat if the box was left outside or in the sun as it is recommended to avoid putting memory foam in direct sunlight or heat. This topper features 3 inches of adaptifoam memory foam that cradles pressure points to offer enhanced support, but may not provide the correct amount of comfort for every sleeper.
