These belts are not leather. They're a high-end synthetic. I only require leather in my everyday belts. They get a lot of use and need to be sturdy and long lasting. These belts are fashion belts for special outfits. They won't get a lot of wear and tear. They're standouts for the following reasons: 1. Generous sizing: They fit well with skirts, pants (which need a longer end tip), and over my blazers when I want to belt them. I wear a size large and they meet the standard perfectly for each of these looks. 2. The end tip lies flat! It doesn't droop (like soft leather) or pop out (like most synthetics). It hugs the belt and stays there. This provides a neat, polished look. 3. They're the right width. Not super thin, but not super thick. They give me nice waistline definition without being bulky. If I gain a few pounds in my middle, they'll still be flattering. These are a great value and will last me a very long time. I highly recommend them!
